Lohr, 88, Stoystown, died July 2, 1984, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born April 13, 1896, in Forward, the son of William E. and Mary (Schmidt) Lohr. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Ethel Powell; brothers, John Plum and Harry; and sisters, Stella Dull and Ida Firl. Survived by these children: Mrs. Evelyn L. Bittner, Stoystown; W. Dwight Lohr, Married to Ruth Kalp, Mt. Pleasent [sic]; 6 grandchildren: Dr. Gregory L. Bittner, Randall L. Bittner, Sherry Walsh, Dr. W. Dwight Lohr Jr., Dr. A, Duane Lohr, and Richard D. Lohr. One great-grandson, Christopher Ivers Walsh. Brother of Mrs. Bertha Kerr and Mrs. Annie Fidler, both of Hooversville. He was director emeritus of National Bank of Western Pennsylvania, where he served as cashier at the Stoystown branch. Served over 50 years in banking. Former school teacher at Hooversville. World War I Army Veteran, charter member of Robert P. Hite Post 257, American Legion, Stoystown. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown, Somerset Lodge 358, F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, and Somerset Consistory Club, Altoona Jaffa Shrine, Somerset County Shrine Club. Former treasurer of Stoystown Water Co. and secretary of Stoystown Borough council. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev.
