Lohr, 75, of Clay Hill Road, Chambersburg, died Sunday, September 23, in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born January 9, 1909, in Connellsville, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Kerr) Lohr. He is survived by his wife, Anna E. (Bittner) Lohr; six daughters: Shirley (Mrs. Arthur) Suchocki, Everson; Patricia (Mrs. Kerry) Williams, Los Angeles, Calif.; Betty (Mrs. Donald) Chelbowski, State Line; Carol (Mrs. Clay) McNerney, Export; Sharon (Mrs. John) Rusnak, Sarver; Sandra (Mrs. George) Sweitzer, Chambersburg; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. He is a brother to: Bess Irwin, Connellsville; Marion Warrick, Scottsdale; Elizabeth Cameron, Scottsdale; Genevieve Hann, Connellsville; Fern Fogle, Baltimore, Md.; and William Lohr, Coulter. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, Pa., and a retired conductor of the New York Central Railroad in Youngstown, Ohio. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 26, at noon in the Minnich-Miller-May Funeral Home, Greencastle under the direction of the Rev. David W. Clark. Burila was Wednesday in the Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, under the direction of the Rev. David Fetter, Salisbury. The Republic, October 4, 1984 [L1224]
