Leon Long, 63, died Saturday, November 10, 1984, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Wellersburg May 2, 1921, he was a son of the late Cecil G. Long and Nora Mae (Sturtz) Long. He was a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in World War II, serving as a bomber pilot in the Pacific theater. He was a retired employee of the Queen City Dairy, Cumberland, Md.; and was a member of the Calvary Bible Independent Baptist Church, Ellerslie, Md. Surviving are his widow, the former Elva L. Troutman; one son, Robert L. Long, Hyndman RD 1; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Hosselrode, LaVale, Md.; Mrs. Pauline McKenzie, Grantsville, Md., and two granddaughters. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman where services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Ken L. Korns, assisted by Pastor Floyd P. Rinehart.
