  LONG
  
    Charles Milton Long, 86, of Somerset RD 1 died Jan. 1, 1990, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Oct. 23, 1903, in Black
  Township.  Son of the late Jeremiah and Amelia (Ringler) Long. 
  Preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and a daughter Amelia
  Jane Glessner.  Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Pearl G.
  Bittner; daughter, Mrs. Jay (Myra Lillian) Hemminger, of Somerset RD
  1, and son Charles Milton Jr., of Scottdale.  Also three
  grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Nora Mae
  Titcomb of West View Nursing Home, Scottdale, and a number of nieces
  and nephews.  He was a former coal worker, farmer and retired
  Pennsylvania Department of Transportation employee.  Member of the
  United Church of Christ, Rockwood.  Friends will be received from 7-9
  p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilbur D. Miller
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 2
  p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Robert Parker officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
