Long, 95, Berlin, formerly of New Jersey, died June 3, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Born Oct. 27, 1911, in Bristol, Conn., a daughter of Osborne R. and Edna (Hawley) Archer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Courtney Long; brother, Osborne; son-in-law Gareth Endress I; and great-grandchildren, Holly Bonus and Tanya and Gareth Endress III. Survived by these children, Phyllis Endress, California; Rita Bonus, Berlin; James Long and wife, Marilyn, California; and Richard Long and wife, Joani, Minnesota. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great- grandchildren; a sister, Jane Steel, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Mountainside School of Nursing in Montclair, N.J. After retiring from nursing, she volunteered at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and the Cape May County Museum. She was active in the First Baptist Church of Anglesea in North Wildwood, N.J. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Dr. John Harmon officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
