Long, 55, of Mill Run RD 1, died Monday, Aug 26, 1985, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 19, 1929, in Calumet, the son of the late Leroy W. and Helen R. (Bungard) Long. A resident of Mill Run and co-owner and operator of Long's Antique Treasure Barn. He also worked for Fike's Dairy of Uniontown for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Connellsville VFW Post 21. He was also a member of the Teamsters' Union, Local 491, a member of Hutchison Sportsmen Club and the Wildlife Feeders Club of Ohiopyle. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Hall Collins Long; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Whalen of Ligonier; one step-son Buck Collins of Mill Run; two step-daughters, Mrs. Charles (Christine) Steyer of Mill Run; and Mrs. Rusty (Anna Marie) Smalley of Ohiopyle; four step-grandchildren; five brothers, Merle W. of Somerset; Gerald L. of Sharpsville, Pa.; Charles E. of Pennsville; Zane A. of Connellsville; and Robert D. of Bullskin Township; and one sister Mrs. James A. (Helen Ruth) Roadman of Dickerson Run. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside. Daily American, August 27, 1985 [L1255]
