    James L. Long, 74, died January 27, 2008 . Beloved husband of 56 years of Marilyn J.
  (Menser) Long; dear father of Kristy (Douglas Hartley) Long,  James (Nette) Long II,
  Kathy (Steve) Fink and Jeffrey (Sheila) Long; grandfather of nine grandchildren and one
  great-grandson. Brother of Doris (Robert) Rayman and Sandra (James) Smen. Also survived
  by many close relatives and friends. Mr. Long was a member and deacon of the First
  Baptist Church, Slatington, a 32nd degree Mason, life member of the NRA and served in the
  U.S. Army as a lieutenant. He also was an organ donor, a poet and enjoyed cooking.
  Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made
  to the First Baptist Church, 509 Main St., Slatington, PA 18080. Online guest register at
