Long, 81 of Sipesville, died Feb. 21 at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Born May 12, 1895 in Hampshire County, W. Va. a son of the late John A. and Vonnie J. Zeiler Long. Preceded in death by his wife the former Vallie L. Scothern and one sister. Survived by these children: Landon L. of Tabb, Va.; Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Hershberger, North Huntingdon, Pa.; Glenn A., Somerset R.D. 1; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Ruth Gilloly, East Palestine, Ohio; Frank Z., Mountain Lake Park, Md. He was a member of Casebeer Lutheran Church, had attended Bethany College and had been employed in the mining industry and retired as a mine superintendent. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m., Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.
