LEVI J. LONG, JR.

  Levi John Long, Jr., 95, a retired farmer, died at 1:45 a.m. at the home of 
his son, Luther C. Long, of Listie.  He was born on Jan. 21, 1850, a son of Mr. 
and Mrs. Levi Long, Sr., and spent his entire life in Somerset County.
  Mr. Long was married twice.  His first wife, the former Annie Snyder, died in 
1918, and his second wife, the former Henrietta Weimer, expired in 1932.  
Surviving are three children - John T., Friedens; Luther C., mentioned, and 
Jesse Z., Daretown, N.J.  He also leaves 19 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger Funeral Home, 
Somerset.  Rev. Martin F. Foutz, pastor of the Friedens Lutheran Church, 
officiated.  Interment in the Barron Church Cemetery, near New Lexington.
