Long, 85, Willow Street, formerly of Berlin, died Sept. 29, 1987, at Community Hospital of Lancaster. Born Dec. 29, 1901, in Berlin, a daughter of William R. and Julia B. (Lease) Long. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Grafton and Kenneth. Survived by sisters, Janet Aldine and Mrs. Geneva Hillegas, both of Willow Street; and brother, Roy of Ephrata. Graduate of Berlin-Brothersvalley High School, Duffs Business College and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Employed as a bookkeeper in Berlin before going to nursing school. Head nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital before returning to Somerset County. First school nurse for Somerset Schools. Also served as executive secretary for the Somerset Tuberculosis Society. Retired in 1943. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. Friends will be received Thursday 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funral [sic] Home, the Rev. Carl W. Schwarm officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery. LONG Lillian Long, 85, Willow Street, formerly of Berlin, died Sept. 29, 1987 in Lancaster.
