  Nannie Elverna Long, 96, Friedens, died Feb. 23, 2005, at Somerset Hospital,
  Somerset. Born Nov. 18, 1908, in Stonycreek Township, a daughter of Jefferson
  Daniel and Emma Jane (Weigle) Landis. Preceded in death by parents; husband
  Merle Snyder Long, who died Jan. 17. 1997; brothers Harry, Morris, George,
  John, Everett, Leroy and Lewis Landis; sisters, Grace Mowry, Ruth Smith and
  Bessie Landis. Survived by daughter, Ms. Dorothy Louise Long, Davidsville;
  grandson Joseph G. Thrash, married to the former Debbie Jarvis, Friedens; twin
  granddaughters Tamara Thrash and Elizabeth Bobo; two great-great-grandchildren
  Samantha and David. A member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Friends received 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a
  service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Edward DeVore
  officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions to Friedens
