She was born in Corriganville, Md., Aug. 26, 1898, and was a daughter of the late Josiah D. Sturtz and Lilly Mae (Geary) Sturtz. She was a homemaker and member of the Wellersburg United Methodist Church. Her husband, Cecil G. Long, preceded her in death on May 24, 1980. She is survived by one son, Leon Long of Wellersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hosselrode, of LaVale, Maryland and Mrs. Pauline McKenzie, of Grantsville, Md.; three brothers, Melvin Sturtz, of Cresaptown, Md., Daniel Sturtz and Calvin Sturtz, both of Wellersburg; four sisters, Irma Robinette of Wellersburg; Carrie C. Robinette, Ethel L. Davis and Florence A. Dreyer, all of Cumberland, Maryland; eight grand-children and 21 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Saturday with the Rev. Ken Korns officiating. Interment was in Cook's Cemetery. The Republic, June 23, 1983 [L1280]
