Born in Stoystown, Olive was a resident of the area since 1936. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard V. Long. Survived by daughters, Ruth Beckley of New Port Richey, Fla., and Eleanor Barron (Elban) Newcomer of Wadsworth, son, Barry (Karen) Long, DVM of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; sisters, Mary Cox of Copley, Sara Welsh of Stow, and Helen Combs of Olmsted Township. Mrs. Long was a former House Mother at the Methodist Children's Home in Berea, Ohio and was a former member of Divinity Lutheran Church. She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sharon Township. Funeral services 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6462 Ridge Rd., Sharon Center. Rev. Jean Hansen officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharon Township Fire Department, St. Paul Lutheran Church or Sharon community Trusts, P.O.
