Born June 7, 1906 in Friedens, daughter of Webster Walter and Sadie Pearl (Sayers) Barron. Preceded in death by parents; son, Richard Milton Long; 4 sisters Edith Barron, Eva Bentz, Mildred Shoff, and Betty Shaulis; and brother, Robert E. Barron. Survived by husband Ralph Milton "Corney" Long Sr., to whom she was married 72 years, and these children: Charles W. Long, Somerset; Mrs. Martha Gilbert, Friedens; Mrs. Sara Jane Smith, Somerset; Mrs. Shelby Rhodes, Latrobe; and Ralph M. Long Jr., Mechanicsburg. Also 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Clarence E. (Fern) Brant, Berlin and Jacob W. Barron, Stoystown. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset Fire Department Auxiliary, American War Mothers (Silver) and past president of the V.F.W. Post 554 Auxiliary. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating.
