  Ronald E. Long, 65, Somerset Township, a loving husband and father, died Dec.
  6, 2005, at Somerset Hospital.
  
  Born Oct. 2, 1940, in Listie, he is the son of Harold T. Long, Listie, and the
  late Rebecca (Pyle) Long. Besides his father, he is survived by wife, Valorie
  (Shaulis) Long; and sons, Timothy E. Long and wife Carol, Eldersburg, Md.; and
  Jason C. Long, Somerset. Brother of Beverly Durst, York; Alzene Heining,
  Latrobe; Robert Long and Thomas Long, both of Listie; Kenneth Long and Harold
  Long Jr., both of Somerset; and Mary Louise Friedline, Somerset. Member of
  Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church and was an avid football fan. Graduate of Greer
  Shop Training of Chicago and was employed as a diesel mechanic for Frank Cober
  and Sons. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The
  Rev. Dennis Doebler officiating. Interment in Casebeer Cemetery. Contributions
  may be made to Somerset "In-Touch" Hospice, 1590 N, Center Ave., Somerset, PA
  15501.
