  LONG
  
  Mrs. Vallie L. Long, 85, of Sipesville died Nov. 29, 1976, in Monsour
  Hospital in Jeannette.  She was born Aug. 15, 1891, in Shenandoah
  Valley, Virginia.  She was the daughter of George W. and Mary E.
  (Minnick) Scothern.  She is survived by her husband, John, and these
  children: Landon L. Long, Tabb, Va.; Mrs. Richard (Virginia L.)
  Hershberger, North Huntingdon; and Glen A. Long, Somerset RD 1; also,
  five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by
  two brothers and one sister.  She was a member of Casebeer Lutheran
  Church and Winnadosis Rebekah Lodge 217, Somerset.  Her death ends a
  marriage union of 60 years.  Friends received after 2 p.m. Wednesday
  in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  Services Thursday at 1:30
  p.m. with the Rev. Robert Clark officiating.  Interment, Casebeer
  Lutheran Church.
