  LONG
  
    Willard Vance Long, 80, Somerset, died July 11, 1998, at his
  residence.  Born Feb. 25, 1918, in Listie, son of Luther Clarence and
  Jessie Grace (Putman) Long.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the
  former Beulah Mae Brenneman, who died June 30, 1953; brothers, Clyde
  E., Lloyd P. and Dean S. Long; and sister, Carolyn I. Shaver. 
  Survived by these children: James E. Long, married to the former Mary
  Ann Beeman, Garrett Shortcut, Berlin, and Miss Sandra A. Long,
  Confluence; grandchildren, Mrs. Ryan (Brenda) Maust, Listie; Mrs.
  James (Karen) Helmick, Listie and Mrs. Robert (Debra) Gudes, Tampa,
  Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Michelle, Andrew and Jacob Maust and
  Emily, Elizabeth and Kristina Helmick.  Brother of Hubert E. Long,
  Millers Creek, N.C.  Member of Faith Lutheran Church; 1936 graduate
  of Somerset Township High School; electrician and plumber for
  Somerset Well Drilling, retiring in 1983.  Friends will be received
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where
  service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Randall J.
  Marburger officiating.  Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 6567 Glades Pike,
