Louise 11/08/06 Daily American E. Louise Longanecker, 66, 400 Niverton Road, Salisbury, passed away Nov. 6, 2006, at the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room in Canton, Ohio, after becoming ill earlier. Louise was born Sept. 21, 1940, in Grantsville, Md., the daughter of Elmer Green and Naomi Schrock Green Sigler. Survivors include her husband, Arlen Longanecker, whom she married Sept. 11, 1959; her mother Naomi Schrock Green Sigler, Salisbury; two daughters, Krista Falvey and her husband, Patrick, Cary, N.C.; and Kara Hugunin and her husband, Charles, Independence, Ken.; son, Kevin Longanecker and his wife, Janet, Kent, Ohio; sister, Mrs. William (June) Walker, LaVale, Md.; four brothers, Allen Green, Salisbury; Robert Blaine Green, Silver Spring, Md.; James Green, Fort Hill; and Richard Green of Inwood, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren. Louise moved to the local area in 1960 and had lived here 10 years, moving back to Pennsylvania in 2004 when they semi-retired. She had worked with her husband since 1971 for 35 years and she had also worked for Swiss County Enterprises in Sugar Creek, Ohio, from 1994 to 2004. She was a former member of Zion Hill Church of the Brethren and currently a member of Hostetler Church of the Brethren, where she assisted her husband as part-time pastor. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and has been a Sunday School teacher over the years. She graduated from Northern High School in Accident, Md., in 1958. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren. The Rev. John Bartholomew officiating. Family suggests that material tributes be made to Zion Hill Church of the Brethren which will forward proceeds to Samaritans Purse.
