Born Dec. 1, 1905 in Huntingdon County, a daughter of Asberry and Alice (McCrum) Hoffer. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, George L. Longenecker, who died in 1966; and brothers, Howard and Harry Hoffer. Survived by a sister, Mrs. J. Wesley (Ruth) Spahn, Somerset; niece, Mrs. Gary (Kay Lou) Hurley; nephew, Todd E. Spahn, and devoted friend, Arthur Hunt. She was a graduate of Mooresville High School, a member of West Washington United Methodist Church and an associate member of Beulah United Methodist Church. She had worked until her retirement in 1950 on the assembly line for Owens Corning. Friends received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the service following at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. The Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. Interment Mooresville Cemetery.
