Lonich, 69, of 985 Persing St., Salem, Ohio, died Nov. 8, 1986, at Salem Community Hospital very unexpectedly. Born Dec. 23, 1916, at Pitcairn, Pa., a daughter of the late Bruce and Loretta (Webb) Diehl. A graduate of Jefferson High School, she was a beautician. She had lived in Jefferson, Pa.; Friedericktown, Pa.; and also Rockwood. A member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Rockwood, she was active in the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Romesberg of Rockwood; a son, Harold Phillips of West Palm Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Diehl of Wernersville, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. William (Thelma) Harrison, Mather, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lonich in 1968, and a sister, who died in infancy. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday. Services on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Behm Funeral Home Route 188, Jefferson, Pa., the Rev. Jack Hazlett officiating. Interment, Greene County Memorial Park. Daily American, November 10, 1986 [L1309]
