  LORENCE
  
    Stanley Lorence, 78, of Stoystown RD 2, died Dec. 20, 1994, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 26, 1915, in Brothersvalley Township,
  son of Joseph and Mary (Skowarinski) Lorence.  Preceded in death by
  parents; his wife, the former Evelyn Buchanan; brothers Joseph, Andy
  and John, and sisters; Anna and Kate.  Survived by these children:
  Ronald, married to the former Norma Mervin of Richland; Mrs. Berl
  (Patricia) Croyle, Stoystown RD 1, and Mrs. Richard (Donna) Koontz,
  with whom he resided; grandchildren: Bradley and Douglas Lorence,
  Gregory Allen, Jeffrey Scott, and Trisha Ann Croyle and Janelle Ann
  and Jenna Marie Koontz; great-grandchildren: Jade Nichole and Ryan
  Scott Croyle.  Brother of Frank Lorence of Hooversville and Nellie
  Chelednik, Central City.  Retired coal miner.  Member of Otterbein
  United Methodist Church, UMWA, Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club, and
  Somerset County Oldtimer Baseball Association.  Family will receive
  friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. Robert
  G. Doyle.  Interment Otterbein Cemetery, Wilbur.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Otterbein United Methodist Church,
  Stoystown RD 2, Pa. 15563.
