Bruce Lottig Sr., 79, Somerset Pike, Boswell R.D., formerly of Falls Church, Va., died Jan. 10, 2001 at the Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Aug. 29, 1921 in Larimer Township, son of Herman Jacob Sr. and Alice Belinda (Caton) Lottig. Preceded in death by parents, sister Margaret Cramer and brothers Elbert Herman Jr. and Oscar. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, the former Virginia Magazzu, beloved children Bonnie L., Boswell R.D. and R. Bruce Jr., married to Donna Graves, Falls Church, Va., and very special grandson R. Bruce III. Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Somerset Pike, Somerset Post 554 V.F.W. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Company C, 157th Infantry in the European theater. Retired project engineer for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Roads, Washington, D.C. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Casebeer Church, the Rev. Dennis L. Doebler officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. No viewing at church, graveside military rite in charge of Menoher Post 155 V.F.W. ritual team.
