Loughry, 88, of 324 Juniata St., Boswell, died Aug. 21 at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1885 in Preston County, W. Va. and was a son of John W. and Emily R. Loughry. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers. He is survived by his widow, the former Ethel M. Durr and these children: Wilda R., wife of Bobby Williams, Jeanette, wife of Kenneth Harris and Maxine, all of Akron, Ohio, Charles E., married to the former Peggy J. Park, Barberton, Ohio, John W., married to the former Mary L. Smith, Wadsworth, Ohio and Linda D., wife of Robert Kennell of Somerset, also 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a retired maintenance employee of Green Cross Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He was amember of Boswell Church of the Nazarene. Friends will be received after noon, Thursday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home (successor to Donald B. Hay) 409 Main St., Boswell where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry C. Greene officiating.
