Born at Ellerslie July 13, 1911, he was a son of the late George and Lillie (Luman) Lowery. He was a retired employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ellerslie, the Athletic Association of Ellerslie in which he served as past president and a member of the Ellerslie Citizens (?) Committe. Survived by his widow, Edna (possibly Wilson, hard to read) Lowery of Route 1, Hyndman, and eight grandchildren. Services were conducted in St. Mark's Church, Ellerslie. The Rev. Howard Smith and Rev. Dennis (?Donohue) officiate. Interment will be in Cooks Mill Cemetery. Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman was in charge of the funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were Wayne Cook, Dick Close, Ed Troutman, Herb Mowry, Paul Lowery and Ray Lowery. The Republic, July 23, 1981 [L-1350]
