  LOWERY
  
    Elwood W. Lowery, 60, of Friedens RD 2 died July 12, 1976.  He was
  born April 29, 1916 in Brothersvalley Township.  The son of the late
  Robert M. and Hilda (Landis) Lowery.  Survived by his wife the former
  Sarah Kimmel and these children: Mrs. Marlin (Kay) Dively,
  Shanksville; Mrs. William (Betty) Browning, Sheldon, Conn.; James,
  Venice, Fla.; Barry and Keith at home; six grandchildren; a step
  mother, Mrs. Emma J. Lowery, Mountville, Pa.; and these brothers and
  sisters: Merle, Friedens RD 2; Jerry, Baltimore, Md.; Phillip, Berlin
  RD 1; Mrs. Edward (Doris) Sivits, Somerset; Edith Mostoller; Mrs.
  Frank (Evelyn) Reineer; Mrs. Janet Carl, Mrs. Robert (Irma) Stickles;
  Richard, Lynn and Mrs. Thomas (Judy) Sarver; all of the Lancaster
  area.  He was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Shanksville
  and an employe [sic] for a number of years at the Shanksville
  Builders Supply.  Friends will be received in the Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home in Berlin after 2 p.m. Tuesday where service will be
  held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dale Biesecker officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset Memorial Park.
