    Martha C. Lowery, 81, Berlin, died Feb. 21, 2008, at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born
  April 17, 1926, in Jenner Township, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Maust) Cook.
  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Philip; daughter, Darlene; and a brother. Survived
  by sons, Joel, Berlin; and David, Berlin; grandson, Philip; great-grandchildren,
  Cassandra, Samantha and Brock; and sister, Nancy Clark, Maryland. She was a graduate of
  the former Boswell High School and retired from the maternity ward at Somerset Hospital.
  Attended Unity United Church of Christ and she enjoyed knitting. Family will receive
  friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a
  service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating. Interment Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
