  Ray Lowrey
  
    Ray Lowrey, 51, of Meyersdale, died March 1, 1981 at Altoona V.A.
  Hospital.
    He was born July 6, 1929, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late
  Marshall and Trellis (Hinebaugh) Lowrey.  He is survived by wife, the
  former Catherine Philbin; and three children: Raymond of New York City
  and Patrick and Rita, both at home; also two brothers, Lee of New York
  City and Robert of Long Island, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane
  Mastralengo, also New York City; and Mrs. Margaret Pthel of Akron,
  Ohio.  He was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church of New
  York and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He was a
  member of the Meyersdale American Legion and the L.O.O.M., No. 76,
  Meyersdale.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.  A
  Christian wake service was held at the funeral home.  Mass of
  Christian Burial was held at SS. Phillip and James Catholic Church,
  Meyersdale, the Rev. J. Clark George officiating.  Interment,
  Salisbury Cemetery.
