Born August 11, 1916, in Somerset, the son of William and Agnes (Ringler) Lowry. Preceded in death by parents, wife Doris Louise (Enfield) Lowry who died Dec. 28, 2001, and brother Milton Lowry. Survived by children Barry Lowry, Fla.; David Lowry, Catasauqua, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and close friend George E. Rowley Sr., Somerset. Graduate of Shanksville High School, U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Retired with Pa. Turnpike; also worked for Davis Bus and JCPenney, Somerset. Former member of Shanksville School Board; member of Lodge 358 F&AM, Somerset; Harrisburg Consistory, Jaffa Shrine, Tall Cedars and Wills Grange. No viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. The Rev. Susan H. Yatta officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Please omit flowers.
