GEORGE W. LOWRY

  George W. Lowry, 83, of Berlin, RD 1, died very suddenly at his home Tuesday, 
Sept. 27.  He was a retired farmer and was born Sept. 20, 1866, a son of Chauncy 
and Catherine (Summy) Lowry.
  He was married to Miss Effie Miller, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. 
Harry Mostoller, Mrs. George Keller and Mrs. Irvin Thomas, all of Johnstown; 
also three brothers, William Lowry, Friedens, RD 2, Francis Lowry, Berlin, and 
Henry Lowry, Berlin RD 1; sixteen grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
  He was a member of Glade Lutheran Church where funeral services were held at 
2:30 p.m., Friday, with the Rev. R. R. Richard officiating.  Interment in the 
church cemetery under direction of Johnson and Son, Berlin.
