Lowry, 76, Akron, Ohio, formerly of Berlin, died Sept. 24, 1979, in the Akron General Hospital, Akron, Ohio. Born July 22, 1903, in Berlin, a son of Henry and Sadie (Glessner) Lowry. Survived by his widow, the former Elizabeth Coleman; a son, Jack, Warsaw, Ind.; and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter. Survived by a brother, Clyde, Hollywood, Fla., a sister, Mrs. Bessie Williams, Akron. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Akron. He was an employment director of Baird Associates, Kelly Division. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in WW II. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Friedens Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
