JOSEPH A. LOWRY

  FAIRHOPE, May 4 - Joseph A. Lowry died at his home here, Tuesday evening, 
after an illness of nine months.  Besides his wife, Lydia Baker Lowry, he is 
survived by the following children:  Mrs. C. F. Green, of Cumberland, Mrs. Louis 
Jones, of Pittsburgh; Ella and Ruth, at home; also by five grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.  He was aged 71 years, 5 months and 3 days.  Funeral 
services will be held in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, 
Friday morning at 10 o'clock with a requiem high mass by his pastor, Rev. J. J. 
Brady.  Interment in the church cemetery.  Mr. Lowry conducted a store in 
Fairhope for many years and was postmaster at this place for several terms.
