All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MILLARD FILMORE LOWRY Millard Filmore Lowry died at 7:30 Wednesday evening, Dec. 6, at his home about one mile east of Salisbury in Elk Lick Township, where he was born Nov. 22, 1856, being 88 years and 14 days old at his death. Mr. Lowry was the son of George and Lucinda (Beachy) Lowry. He was a retired farmer; at one time was a school teacher in the township in which he spent his entire life, and was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church. He is survived by two brothers, Abraham L. Lowry, at present at the Old Folk's Home in Paint Borough, and William G. Lowry with whom he lived. Mr. Lowry never married. He was a man of sterling character and friendly disposition - liked and respected by all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 Friday afternoon by Rev. George E.
