  Paul Emanuel Lowry, 95, Somerset, died June 20, 2005, at Siemon Lakeview Manor
  Estate, The Heritage. Born Aug. 12, 1909, in Friedens, a son of Irvin Hugh and
  Minnie Pearl (Pile) Lowry. Preceded in death by parents; wife the former Marian
  K. Weamer who died March 1, 1999; sisters Agnes Beal, Betty Lowry, Evelyn Lowry
  and Thelma Bartlett; brothers Harold and Robert C. Lowry. Survived by children
  Mrs. John (Judith) Murphy, Houston, Texas; Mrs. John (Marsha) Watts, Tampa,
  Fla.; Stephen P. Lowry, married to the former Robin Weyant, Stoystown;
  grandchildren, Shannon Lowry and husband Scott Massey, Durango, Colo.; Brandon
  and Jared Lowry both of Stoystown. Brother of Roy S. Lowry, Friedens, and
  Chester P. Lowry, Akron, Ohio. A 1927 graduate of Somerset High School. U.S.
  Navy veteran of World War II where he served as a 2nd Class Petty Officer
  aboard the USS Severn. Retired in 1974 with 30 years of service as
  owner/operator of Lowry Contracting. Also a member of Friedens Lutheran Church
  and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 554. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will
  be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Edward DeVore officiating. Interment
  Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be given to the Friedens
  Lutheran Church, 131 S. Main St., Friedens, PA 15541. Military rites accorded
  by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
