The child had been put to bed the night before apparently as well as usual. She was in the habit of sleeping long. A post mortem by a Salisbury physician at the request of Dr. A. M. Uphouse, county coroner, revealed that there was an acute infection in the small bowel. Further laboratory tests of bowel tissue are being made to determine the nature of the infection. Besides her parents, a small brother, Jack Marshall, survives. Funeral services will be held at the Lowry home, Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. H. K. Hilner officiating. Burial will be made in Meyersdale Union Cemetery under the direction of Stanley Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, December 23, 1948
