  LOWRY
  
  Robert Charles Lowry, 85, of Somerset, died July 14, 2003, at his
  residence in Somerset.  Born Oct. 8, 1917 in Somerset Township, a son
  of Irvin Hugh and Minnie Pearl (Pile) Lowry.  Preceded in death by
  parents; wife the former Anna Mary Baer, who died April 5, 1998;
  brother, Harold Lowry; sisters: Agnes Beal, Betty Lowry, Evelyn Lowry
  and Thelma Bartlett.  Survived by sons: Barry R. Lowry married to the
  former Carol Gerhardt of Grove City, Ohio; Douglas C. Lowry married
  to the former Grete Scheffknecht of Somerset; David L. Lowry married
  to the former Kim Clutts of Somerset; grandchildren: Britt Marie
  Lowry, Scott Daniel Lowry, Emily Maria Driscoll-Lowry, Loren
  Elizabeth Lowry, Zia Knupp, Margot Knupp and Jonathan Clutts. 
  Brother of Roy S. Lowry of Friedens, Paul E. Lowry of Somerset and
  Chester P. Lowry of Akron, Ohio.  A 1936 graduate of Somerset
  Township High School.  U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  Attended
  Somerset Alliance Church.  Retired in 1976 with 39 years of service
  as branch manager for the former Menzie Dairy.  Friends received 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset.  Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Somerset
  Alliance Church with the Rev. James Vandervort officiating.  No
  viewing at the church.  Interment Husband Cemetery.
