  LOWRY
  
  Winnie K. Lowry, 90, of Shanksville, died March 5, 1979, in the
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born July 20, 1888, in Stonycreek
  Township, a daughter of William and Lena (Yinkey) Spangler.  Preceded
  in death by parents; husband, William W.; and sons, Ray and Roland;
  two sisters and two brothers.  Survived by these children: Mrs. John
  (Ethel) Reese of Ligonier;  Frank, married to Gladys Glessner of
  Friedens RD 2;  Mrs. Lewis (Kathryn) Walker, and Telford, married to
  Emmy Lou Shirley, both of Shanksville; Carl of Thomasville, Georgia;
  Dr. Donald, married to Lois Darr of Harrisburg; Kenneth, married to
  Mary Ann Custer of Slippery Rock; also 23 grandchildren; 25
  great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Member of St.
  Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, and the LCW, and former Sunday
  school teacher.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday in the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Remains will be
  removed to St. Mark Lutheran Church to lie in state from 10 a.m.
  until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dale F. Biesecker
  officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.  If friends
  wish, donations may be made to St. Mark Memorial Fund, Shankville
  [sic].
