Ludwick Sr., Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2006, while being cared for at the home of his daughter, Linda Lee Lentz, Harrisburg. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Youngwood, a son of the late, William E. and Marjorie Fowler Ludwick. He is the loving husband of Patricia J. (Thompson) Ludwick, loving father to six children, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, William E. Ludwick Jr. He leaves behind to celebrate his life, wife of 57 years, Patricia J. Ludwick; his only sister, Katherine "Sis" L. Brown, Greensburg.; children; J. Allan Ludwick and his wife, Deb, Rochester, N.Y.; Linda L. Lentz and husband, Larry, Harrisburg; Susan Ludwick, Mohnton; William (Bill) Ludwick and his wife, Rose, Beaumont, Calif.; Beth Moyer and husband, Patrick, Frackville; and Philip Ludwick, Ashland. He also leaves behind 17 grand-children and 11 great-grand-children. Dr. Ludwick served as a Marine during World War II and was in three invasions in the South Pacific, Guadalcanal, Bougainville and New Georgia. He was a proud Marine and served his country with great honor. A graduate of Bob Jones University, he served the Lord as an evangelist and pastor, most recently pastoring the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rockwood. Dr. Ludwick leaves behind many good friends including Dr. Norman C. Marks who will be officiating at the funeral, which will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Mountain View Bible Church, 34 Sipe Ave., Hummelstown. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 Monday morning in the church. Interment with military honors will be 2 p.m. on Monday in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
