  LUDWIG
  
  Charles F. "Smiley" Ludwig, 66, Listie, died Aug. 12, 1987, at his
  residence.  Born Dec. 13, 1920, in Listie, son of the late Karl and
  Gladys (Brant) Ludwig.  A retired U.S. Steel metallurgist.  Received
  a degree in metallurgy from Penn State University.  Friends will be
  received 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home,
  where funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
