Had she lived until March 5th next, she would have been 86 years old. She was a native of Baltimore and came to Sand Patch with her late husband, Michael Lynch, who was a Baltimore & Ohio section foreman, many years ago. She was post-mistress at Sand Patch for nine years. Since the death of her husband more than 25 years ago, she lived in Meyersdale. Mrs. Lynch was the mother of fourteen children, of whom the following survive: Annie, married and living in Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Margaret Friel, Mrs. Agnes Hanninger, Miss Bernadette, Joseph and Thomas Lynch, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Sarah Walsh, and Mrs. Catherine Kerrigan, Meyersdale. Richard, Robert, Philip and Mary preceded her in death. She had 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ellis, living in Nebraska. Mrs. Lynch was in fairly good health until a week ago when she had a paralytic stroke. She remained conscious, however, and was able to talk until she passed away. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church, a noble mother and good neighbor. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Meyersdale Republican, December 8, 1932
