Born Sept. 19, 1913 in St. Boniface, a son of the late Arthur and Agnes (McClelland) Lynn. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph. Survived by wife, Margaret A. (Folk) Lynn; 2 sons, William A. Lynn, O'Fallon, Mo., and Edmund A. Lynn Jr., Salisbury; daughter, Patricia Jane Shumaker, Salisbury; brother, Vaughn Lynn, Bedford; 5 sisters, Mary Humbert, Toledo, Ohio, Helen Mardis and Rita Maher, both of Johnstown, Alberta Armstrong, Ebensburg, and Genevieve McLaughlin, Phoenix, Ariz.; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Ray Gatterman of Addison. Member of Maple Glen Church of the Brethren. He served in the Civilian Conservation Camp and was a retired chemical mixer for Kelly Springfield Tire Co. Member of Meyersdale Lodge #554, Free and Accepted Masons, Harrisburg Consistory and Meyersdale Chapter #272, York Rite. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment, Maple Glen Cemetery. Meyersdale Lodge #554, F.&A.M. will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Daily American, December 7, 1998 [L1488]
