Lyons, 88, of Trent, passed on May 5, 2003 at Somerset Hospital. Born March 20, 1915 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, she is the daughter of the late Freeman and Dorothea (Herwig) Handwerk. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1999, sister Edna Miller and brother Walter Handwerk. She is survived by sons Merle, married to Jane; Clair, married to Ruby; Blair, married to Phylis all of Rockwood; and Melvin, married to Louise, of Sykesville, Md.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is the sister of Violet Burkett of Somerset. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Trent. Friends were received Wednesday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Rev.
