  C. VERNON LYONS
  
    C. Vernon Lyons, 79 of 1303 Hay St., Berlin, died Oct. 15, 1982.
    He was born June 18, 1903, in Rockwood, son of Freeman M. and
  Joanna (Gary) Lyons.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Ralph F. and
  Edward.
    He is survived by wife, the former Josephine Deller; and three
  sons, James B. and Charles V. Jr., both of Berlin; and Ronald Eugene,
  at home; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
    Also survived by brother Ralph of Berlin; sister, Mrs. Minnie
  Crete, South Grafton, Mass.
    He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Berlin Vol.
  Fire Dept., Somerset County Firemen's Assn., the F.O.E. Somerset, and
  a former member of the Berlin Fife and Drum Corps.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson. 
  Interment, Barron Church Cemetery.
