She was twice married; her first husband was John Phillippi; the second was Freeman Lyons. Both preceded her in death. She was born in Kingwood, Somerset County, a daughter of the late John S. and Nancy Younkin Trimpey. Surviving are the following children from the first marriage: Harry Phillippi of Rockwood, R.D. 2; Mrs. Almira Fletcher and Ray Phillippi of Rockwood, R.D. 3; Charles Phillippi of Rockwood; Earl Phillippi of Rockwood R.D. 1; John Phillippi of Charleston, W.Va.; Mrs. Robert Baker of Rockwood and Miss Maud Phillippi at home. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ella Roberts of Kingwood; a brother, Ephraim Trimpey of Baraboo, Wis., and a half-brother, George Trimpey of Acosta; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:15 p.m. at the home and at Kingwood Church of God at 2:30. Officiating was Rev. Paul E. Trimpey, pastor of the Berlin Methodist Church, of which she was a member, assisted by Rev. E. C. Hall, pastor of the Church of God. Burial, under direction of Mills & Mickey, Rockwood morticians, was in the Kingwood Odd Fellows Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 1, 1948
