Lyons, 75, of Massillon, Ohio, died May 14, 1998, at Okeechobee, Fla. Born Dec. 5, 1922, in Rockwood, Pa., to parents Austin O. Lyons Sr. and Florence (Fresh) Lyons. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Lois (McGee) Lyons in 1988. Also a brother, Richard Lyons, and a sister, Nellie Goller, and his parents. Survived by these sons: George F. Lyons of North Canton, Ohio, and James E. Lyons of Florida; a daughter, Carol Angello of Canton, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Also a brother, Austin O. Lyons Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Hostetler, both of Rockwood. He was a retired truck drive for Matlack Oil Inc. of Canton, Ohio, and a member of Teamsters Local No. 92. World War II veteran of the European Theatre. He returned to Florida for his health and enjoyed camping and fishing. His generous spirit will be deeply missed by his family and friends. No visitation was requested.
