Lyons, 90, of Old Pritts Lane, Champion, died April 12, 1999, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Oct. 6, 1908, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Samuel and Rosy (Rashe) Lyons. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Jennie, in 1994, brother, Maurice; sister, Evalyn Walker, and son-in-law Dormer "Pete" Miller. Survived by sons, Larry Lyons, married to Althea (Brocher), Somerset; Kenneth Lyons, married to Grace Porter of Chambersburg; daughters, Dorothy Miller and Norma Engle, both of Champion; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. Member of the Center Church of the Brethren in Trent, where he served as church superintendent and Sunday school teacher for many years. Retired employee of the American Bridge Company in Ambridge. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Tom Singo officiating.
