Mrs. Lytle had been in her usual health on retiring the night before, and had attended a funeral the afternoon before. Mr. Lytle, as is his custom, arose in the morning first, made the fire and went to the barn to do his morning chores. Not finding breakfast ready on coming back into the kitchen, he called his wife and getting no answer went to her room and found her dead. Funeral services were held in the Silbaugh Church and interment in the cemetery adjoining the church. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the church. Charles Humbert of Confluence was the funeral director. The church was crowded with friends and an overflow outside, showing the esteem in which she was held. She is survived by her husband and four children, two sons and two daughters, all of whom are married. Meyersdale Republican, October 31, 1940
