Mr. Meyers was one of the oldest farmers in the county, having resided on the same farm in Upper Turkeyfoot Tp., for over forty years. He was a good and law abiding citizen and lived in peace and harmony with all the neighbors. The entire neighborhood turned out at the funeral. The church was crowded to overflowing, half of the people being unable to gain admittance. He was buried at the Mt. Union grave yard, near Mt. Union church in Upper Turkeyfoot Tp. Mr. Meyers raised a large family, who, with a single exception, have passed from the family circle and are filling respectable places in society. Thus has another passed away, which brings afresh to our mind the lesson that all must sooner or later follow.
