The Somerset herald. (Somerset, Pa.): May 04, 1892
Mrs. Mary Miller died at the home of Earnest Lindolph, of Iowa, on March 23, 1892,
aged 83 years. Her maiden name was Mary Lichty, and she was born in Somerset
township Oct. 27, 1808. In 1827 she was married to Peter Miller. Their union was
blessed with twelve children, six sons and six daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Miller went
to Iowa in 1854, where they have ever since resided. Mrs. Miller was the last
surviving of fourteen children of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Lichty, who formerly lived
on the farm now owned by Peter Heffley in Somerset township. Among her relatives
living about Somerset are Gen.. C. Lichty, a nephew, and Mrs. John A. Walter, a
niece.
