Born June 16, 1913, in Somerset, a daughter of Cyrus Knepper and Nora B. (Sevits) Brant. Preceded in death by parents; husband John Lawrence Mack, who died Feb. 28, 1999; brother, Forrest "Red" and Leo Brant; sisters, June Brant, Marie Salyers and Winifred Baer. Survived by children, Mrs. David E. (Suzanne) Smith, Somerset, Mrs. David (Carolyn) Tripp, Bennington, N.H.; grandchildren: Mrs. David (Barbara) Roth, Somerset; Mrs. Daniel (Diana) Tyger, Johnstown; William Smith, Somerset; John DeShane and wife Jenny, Somerset; Jay DeShane and wife Jerilyn, Keene, N.H.; and Patrick DeShane, Bennington, N.H.; eight great-grandchildren: David P. and Nicholas Roth, Emily and Abigail Tyger, Joey, Ryan, Will and David E. DeShane. Sister of Keith "Shorty" Brant, Claude L. "Tub" Brant and Mrs. Charles (Frances "Peg") Revello, all of Somerset. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and 55 and Over Speeders. Had many jobs throughout her life. She had worked for Sun Shipyard in Chester during World War II, Budd's Shoe Store for 30 years, and formerly co-owned and operated Betty Brite Dry Cleaners for eight years. She assisted her husband with Meals on Wheels. She was especially proud of never missing an election. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and multitude of friends. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where vigil for the deceased will be 3:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset. Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic School, 433 W.
