    Verna Hyla Mack, 63, of Hollsopple RD 1, died Oct. 23, 1996, in
  Windber Hospital.  Born Feb. 18, 1933 in Yellow Creek, Bedford
  County, daughter of the late Hughey and Gertrude (Eller) Mack. 
  Preceded in death by these brothers: Lloyd, Robert, Glen and Merle. 
  Survived by these children: Brenda Ross of Kentucky, Paul D. of
  Nevada, Thomas H. of Friedens, Holly of Wilmerding and John B. of
  Hollsopple; also seven grandchildren.  Sister of Beulah Hoffman of
  Saxton, Dorothy Taylor of Somerset and Richard and Sam, both of
  Ohio.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at
  10 a.m. Monday, Rev. Keith Bell.  Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
